Adrienne Fluchère Schreiber, Executive Director
Adrienne is the Executive Director at MCS. She is a graduate of Georgetown University, with a major in French. Ms. Schreiber came to MCS with executive experience in a variety of non-profits from healthcare to education to women’s sports. Having seen several organizations through accreditation and compliance processes, she brings a focused energy to working with the Board of Directors and staff on long-term planning and strategic goals. A lover of languages since she was young, she speaks French, Spanish, and Portuguese, and enjoys any chance to use them! In her free time, she enjoys roller derby, skiing, trivia, and spending time with loved ones.
Rosa L. Carrillo, Language Services Program Director
Mrs. Carrillo directs the delivery of the translation, interpretation, and advocacy efforts of the Language Services Program. She is a trained interpreter (English/Spanish) whose involvement with the Language Access Coalition helped pass the Language Access Act in Washington, DC. She is a member of the Access For All Committee for the Transportation Planning Board of the National Capital Region developed to guide the language access plan for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. Ms. Carrillo serves as the Treasurer for the Life Skills Center in Washington, DC. Before immigrating to the US, she was the coordinator of the Language Department at Giordano Bruno School in Lima, Peru, where she developed, edited and promoted curricula and other educational materials in Spanish and tutored English to elementary school students. Ms. Carrillo is a graduate of Trinity College in Washington, DC with a BA in International Studies and minor in History.
Alkindi Kadir, Language Services Program Coordinator
Alkindi Kadir came to MCS with a Bachelor’s in History from the University of Maryland, College Park. With a background in excellent customer service and client management in banking, hotels, bookstores, and the American Heritage Society, he is one of the first friendly faces you’ll meet at MCS. Alkindi speaks Indonesian and volunteers with IMAAM Summer Camp, a program for Indonesian youth. He also works with Rumah Indonesia, to reconnect Indonesian participants with their language and heritage through crafts and culture.
Wandee Hirunvaranatee, Accountant/Operations Manager
Wandee joined MCS in February 2014 and is responsible for the financial record keeping, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Billing, Collections, and other accounting-related tasks, overseeing the administrative systems and operations of the office. She has many years’ experience in accounting, finance and administration in private corporations, state government and nonprofit sectors. Ms. Hirunvaranatee has a B.A. in Finance from the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce in Bangkok, Thailand and an M.A. in Economics (Economic Theory) from American University in Washington, DC.
Anastasia “Putri” Putri, Language Service Program Assistant
Putri graduated from Dickinson College in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts; she studied Anthropology and Dance as a double-major. She joined MCS a few months later. While being tasked with assisting the Language Service Program, Putri is also helping restart the non-profit’s next civic engagement project, the Parent Leadership Training Institute planned for Fall 2017. Currently, she is also the Marketing Intern at Dance Place in Brookland.
